CMF Speaker Series features Bluetooth 6.0, IP68 dust and water resistance, and multi-speaker listening modes
CMF has introduced its first portable speaker lineup, the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M, combining distinctive geometric designs with powerful audio performance, durable construction and connectivity features for everyday listening.
Announced in London on 12 October 2026, the new series comprises two models designed for different listening needs. The compact Speaker S is built for portability, while the larger Speaker M offers a more powerful audio experience for home entertainment and social gatherings.
Both speakers will be available in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise. They also feature swappable front panels and knobs, alongside support for 3D-printable custom designs, allowing users to personalise their speakers.
Different Sizes, Tailored Audio Experiences
The CMF Speaker S features a 45mm full-range driver and dual passive radiators, delivering up to 10W RMS output across a frequency range of 70Hz to 20kHz. Its compact design includes a built-in attachment point, allowing users to clip it onto a strap or carabiner for easier portability.
For those seeking more powerful sound, the CMF Speaker M features a dedicated 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter, delivering a combined 35W RMS output. Its frequency range spans 60Hz to 20kHz, with a design intended to deliver deeper bass, clearer high frequencies and better separation between vocals and instruments. An integrated handle also makes it easier to move between rooms or outdoor spaces.
Both models feature Adaptive Tuning technology, which automatically analyses playback and adjusts the sound output and equalisation in real time. Users can further customise their listening experience through Ultra Bass, Wide Soundstage and four equaliser presets: Balanced, More Bass, More Treble and Voice, accessible through the Nothing X app.
Stereo and Party Modes for Shared Listening
Beyond individual playback, the CMF Speaker Series supports multiple listening configurations.
Users can pair two identical Speaker S or Speaker M units in Stereo Mode to create separate left and right audio channels. For larger gatherings, Party Mode uses Auracast technology to synchronise playback across two or more compatible speakers, including supported models from other brands.
The feature offers greater flexibility for different settings, from desktop listening and home entertainment to outdoor gatherings and beach trips.
Bluetooth 6.0, IP68 Protection and Up to 18 Hours of Playback
Both speakers support Bluetooth 6.0, NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for convenient connections with compatible devices. Dual-device connectivity allows each speaker to remain connected to two audio sources simultaneously, making it easier to switch between a smartphone and laptop.
USB-C audio is also supported for wired digital playback, catering to music, movies and gaming. Physical controls include a tactile knob for playback, track navigation, volume and Ultra Bass, alongside dedicated buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing and Auracast.
For added durability, both models carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. According to CMF, the speakers can withstand submersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes.
Battery life is rated at up to 18 hours on a single charge at 50% volume with Ultra Bass enabled. A 10-minute charge can provide up to one hour of playback, making quick top-ups more convenient when users are on the move.
Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M will be offered in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise. However, local pricing and availability in Malaysia have yet to be announced.
