Jordan Brand Tatum 5 Brings a New Utility Strap and Air Zoom Cushioning to Jayson Tatum’s Game

Jayson Tatum is getting a new signature sneaker.

Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the Tatum 5, the latest basketball shoe in Tatum’s signature line. The new model focuses on lightweight performance, stability and control, reflecting Tatum’s calm and precise playing style on the court.

A New Strap for a Locked-In Fit

One of the biggest changes on the Tatum 5 is its dynamic utility strap, designed to keep the foot securely in place without adding unnecessary weight.

The shoe also features a molded midfoot wrap and heel structure to provide stability during quick cuts, stops and changes of direction.

Underfoot, there is a 10mm forefoot Air Zoom unit designed to provide energy return for quick bursts and smoother transitions.

The outsole uses a herringbone traction pattern with HART 2.0 rubber, helping players maintain grip when making sharp stops and fast movements.

Built to Stay Light and Cool

The Tatum 5 also gets a breathable construction, with perforated zones and ballistic mesh vents across the lateral, medial and forefoot areas.

The soft molded upper keeps the design lightweight while giving the shoe a cleaner, more modern look.

Tatum’s signature “0” also appears on the heel in a new design inspired by the famous arch in his hometown of St. Louis.

The first colourway is called Sunrise, inspired by the Boston sunrise, with a Sunset colourway set to follow.

When Can You Get It?

The Jordan Brand Tatum 5 will launch in full-family sizing from 24 September 2026 in China, with a global release to follow.

Jordan Brand has not announced Malaysia availability or pricing in the release yet.

For basketball fans, the Tatum 5 looks like a pretty interesting evolution of the line, especially with its focus on keeping the foot locked in while still giving players the freedom to move quickly.
