Parents visiting the TCE Baby Expo can explore children’s brain development through a series of interactive experiences as Wyeth Nutrition celebrates more than 50 years of brain research with its S-26 GOLD PROGRESS activation.
The activation brings together expert talks, parenting discussions and the company’s proprietary Brain Visualiser technology to help parents better understand how nutrition, learning and everyday interactions contribute to children’s cognitive development during their early years.

According to Wyeth Nutrition Malaysia, the showcase commemorates more than five decades of scientific research into children’s brain development, including studies on brain connections, myelination and nutrients such as sphingomyelin and DHA that support learning and cognitive growth.
One of the event’s highlights is the Brain Visualiser, an interactive digital experience that enables parents to visualise how brain connections are formed and strengthened during childhood. Through animated simulations, visitors can better understand how these neural connections support children’s ability to learn, process information and respond to their surroundings.
“For over 50 years, Wyeth Nutrition has been advancing the understanding of children’s brain development through science and research,” said Yeoh She Shiang, Business Executive Officer of Wyeth Nutrition Malaysia.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we want to help parents better understand what science means for their own children. The Brain Visualiser allows parents to experience concepts that are often difficult to explain and brings decades of research to life in a meaningful and engaging way.”
The programme also features a knowledge-sharing session by Consultant Paediatrician Dr Ryan Ng, who highlights the importance of the first 1,000 days of a child’s life—widely regarded as one of the most critical periods for brain development.
During the session, parents gain insights into how the brain develops, the role of myelination in supporting efficient brain communication, and how everyday activities such as talking, reading and playing help build strong brain connections. The discussion also covers executive function, which influences children’s ability to focus, solve problems, adapt to new situations and regulate behaviour.
“The first 1,000 days are a remarkable period of growth because children’s brains develop faster during this time than at any other stage of life,” said Dr Ryan.
“Many parents think brain development is determined by major milestones, but often it is the small, everyday interactions that have the greatest impact. Talking, reading, playing and exploring together all help strengthen brain connections that support lifelong learning and development.”
Complementing the expert session is a parenting conversation featuring content creators Karen Kho and Yee Fei, who share their experiences navigating modern parenthood. Their discussion focuses on recognising every child’s unique strengths, balancing the abundance of parenting information available today, and creating meaningful daily moments that support children’s development.
The S-26 GOLD PROGRESS activation is open throughout the TCE Baby Expo, where visitors can experience the Brain Visualiser, attend expert sessions and gain practical insights into supporting children’s cognitive development during their formative years.
