Apple Launches iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, Its Most Advanced Pro Models Yet

Apple has introduced the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, its most advanced smartphones to date, featuring a new aluminum unibody design, upgraded cameras, and the powerful A19 Pro chip. The devices will be available in deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver, with pre-orders starting September 12 and sales beginning September 19.

The new models debut an Apple-designed vapor chamber for improved thermal management, enabling higher sustained performance and longer battery life. Both the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR displays are protected by Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back, offering three times better scratch resistance and improved glare reduction.

Powered by the A19 Pro chip, Apple claims the iPhone 17 Pro series delivers up to 40% better sustained performance than its predecessor, optimized for gaming, video editing, and AI applications. A new N1 wireless chip supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread for improved connectivity.

The triple-camera system includes three 48MP Fusion cameras — Main, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto — offering up to 8x optical zoom, Apple’s longest ever on an iPhone. The new 18MP Center Stage front camera introduces a square sensor with a wider field of view, improved selfies, and stabilized 4K HDR video.

For content creators, the iPhone 17 Pro series adds industry-first video features such as ProRes RAW, Log 2, and genlock for multi-camera synchronization. On the software side, iOS 26 introduces new Apple Intelligence features, Live Translation, and enhanced visual search tools.

The lineup also supports eSIM-only models in selected markets, accessories such as TechWoven and Silicone MagSafe cases, and introduces a new Crossbody Strap. Apple highlights sustainability efforts with 30% recycled materials and 100% fiber-based packaging as part of its Apple 2030 carbon-neutral goal.
