Samsung Electronics has announced that 34 models from its 2026 TV and soundbar lineup have received sustainability certifications from TÜV Rheinland, reinforcing the brand’s ongoing commitment to reducing carbon emissions across its premium products.
The certifications include both Product Carbon Footprint and Product Carbon Reduction, covering a wide range of Samsung’s latest innovations such as OLED TVs, Micro RGB and Mini LED displays, as well as its flagship soundbars.
According to Samsung, 14 premium display and audio models, including its 2026 OLED TVs, The Frame Pro and the HW-Q990H soundbar, received the more advanced Product Carbon Reduction certification. Meanwhile, an additional 20 models, including Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs, were awarded Product Carbon Footprint certification.
These certifications are granted based on internationally recognised standards that assess greenhouse gas emissions across a product’s entire lifecycle, from manufacturing and transportation to usage and eventual disposal. Products that achieve further measurable reductions in emissions compared to previous models are eligible for the higher-tier Product Carbon Reduction certification.
Notably, the HW-Q990H soundbar secured both certifications, highlighting Samsung’s sustainability push beyond its display category and into audio products.
Samsung has been steadily expanding its portfolio of certified devices in recent years. Back in 2021, its Neo QLED became the first TV with 4K resolution or higher to receive the Product Carbon Reduction certification. Since then, the company has continued to grow its lineup across QLED, OLED, lifestyle TVs, monitors and digital signage.
The latest milestone also aligns with Samsung’s long-standing leadership in the global market, where it has maintained its position as the world’s leading TV brand for 20 consecutive years, while also topping the soundbar category for 12 years.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important factor for consumers, Samsung’s latest certifications signal a continued effort to balance high-performance technology with more environmentally responsible product design.
