vivo ranks as world’s second-fastest growing 5G smartphone brand, according to Strategy Analytics

vivo announces its ranking as the second fastest growing 5G smartphone brand globally in Q1 2021, jumping 62% quarter-on-quarter, with 19 million smartphone units shipped. According to new research released by Strategy Analytics, vivo’s 5G smartphone strongholds are within the China and Europe markets. As a fervent advocate of 5G development, vivo has made remarkable progress in 5G standards and core technologies, committed to providing users with a growing range of 5G mobile phones and an improved 5G experience.

Through the application of over 3,000 5G invention patents and the submission of over 5,000 5G proposals to the telecommunications standard development organizations of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) since February 2021, vivo continues to demonstrate its forward-looking vision towards supporting Malaysians with the next level of devices.
